BACKGROUND

SDN Somali Disability Network is a non-Profit and Nonpartisan network established in 2020. By a group of Somali scholars, intellectuals and professionals most of them PWDs persons with disability rights activist and advocacy with decades of experience of work in Somalia and in the world with a vision of inclusive for all social and political in Somalia.

SDN Somali Disability Network DPOs network standing the advocacy and the empowerment for the PWDs persons with disabilities in Somalia who are large in the population without voice and role.  Through advocacy for the CRPD the convention rights persons with disabilities implementation in Somalia

SDN Somali Disability Network is working for the strengthening the DPOs disabled people organizations in Somalia to gain organizational, team and group work and management to achieve individual organizations and as groups of implementation the program and the project in a short time and long time. To be resourceful potential service deliverable, accountability, transparent and work coordination

SDN Somali Disability Network is the largest network actively operation nationwide in Somalia regions with members of more than 15 DPOs.  Mogadishu the capital city of Somalia and the federal member states’ regional cities in the country. With decentralized organ gram and structure which has active members of Somalia FMS Federal Member States.

SDN Somali Disability Network  strategy, plan and goals are based upon the needs and the problems of the PWDs persons with disabilities in Somalia an estimated 15% who are nearly 3 million population without voice, political participation and access of social and development program and service in Somalia

SDN Somali Disability Network works the coordination fundraising, research and reporting the day to day operations and work of the DPOs the disabled people organization in Somalia. The communication and partnership with local and international donors and the Somalia federal government social development programs.
