the Somali Disability Network organized Second Anniversary of Somali Disability Network conference in representatives the capital city of Somalia. the conference is held in SDN office participated the representatives member organizations who the in the two main decision making organs the board of the directors and the assembly. and the execution team who are the key work force of the network. the network consists of 15 organizations 13 DPos and 2 CSOs civil society organizations working the disability issue
Somali Disability Network (SDN) is a legally registered local NGO. nonpartisan Network of Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) established in the year 2020 by a group of Somali Scholars, Intellectuals and Professional most of whom Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) Plus 15 member organizations working the disability inclusion, human rights protection, livelihood improvement and establishment of legislation and policies serving the PWDs rights protection for social and policy.
the Board of the directors has presented the annual report for the work and the financial report of the last years. the assembly members took the papers and the report for reading to reach decision in the first month of the thrid year. the network  has democratic governance structure that support the member organizations and beneficiary with transparency and accountability.

the member of the building of the directors and the assembly participated the meeting knowledge the stakeholder of the SDN the TOFI program the NAD, Atlas Alince and SCI who made two years secession plan for the network one year building the foundation of the network and second year building the capacity of the three organs of the network
the oversight, the decision makers of the overall managerial, accountability and the communication of the donors. for the decision making of programs and project implementation with oversight of the execution works and plans.
the Assembly is the main organ that has the final decisions of the SDN the budget, programs, policies and regulations of the network . for the network objectives and goals through oversight and monitoring of the process.
and the execution the third organ of the SDN which is responsible the implementation of the day to day operation and activities for the network and the member organizations as well as the beneficiaries. they work with cooperation and oversight of the board who is prime decision makers of implementation.
SDN is the largest DPOs network in Somalia with 15 member organizations most of the registered and operational in the country with potential partners and donors doing on the ground activities for protection, livelihood, education, mobility and covid19 respond. we are very pleased to stand good position for the disability inclusion in Somalia.
