On 11 November 2025, Mr. Ahmed Hassan, a representative of persons with physical disabilities, actively participated in the campaign activities of the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) in Somalia. As one of the party’s key members, Mr. Ahmed has been instrumental in promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in political processes and raising awareness about the importance of accessible and equitable participation in Somalia’s democratic system.
PWDs are increasingly engaging in political campaigns across the Banadir Region ahead of the 2026 elections, demonstrating their commitment to shaping Somalia’s future governance. Their active involvement in JSP’s campaign reflects a broader effort to ensure that the voices of all citizens, including those with disabilities, are represented in the national political landscape and that democratic processes are truly inclusive.
