The SDN team is actively participating in the implementation of the Disability Marriage Fundraising Program organized by Guryo Samo Group with generous financial support from Horumad Salam Foundation, which has contributed USD 25,000 to support the initiative.
the program will cost 75,000 USD  other contribution 50,000 expected from the Banadir region local authority , beside other support and contribution to these people. nearly 15 families will be established this program benefiting from 30 persons in total.
This program aims to empower Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) by supporting marriage opportunities and helping them establish stable and supportive families. The SDN team is currently working on beneficiary selection and recruitment of marriage candidates.
The selection process ensures that each couple consists of one person with a disability and one non-disabled person to promote inclusion, shared responsibility, and the creation of active and supportive families within the community.
This year marks the third year of the program’s implementation. The previous two phases were successfully completed, resulting in the formation of several families. Some of the couples supported during earlier phases are now blessed with children and living stable family lives.
These achievements demonstrate the positive social impact of the initiative and its contribution to inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity for Persons with Disabilities.
The SDN team appreciates and sincerely thanks Horumad Salam Foundation for its financial support and Guryo Samo Group for its volunteer commitment and coordination efforts. Their partnership has helped make the dreams of many individuals from the PWD community come true  giving them hope to build families and raise children with dignity and love.
The program continues to demonstrate that disability is not inability, and that with proper support, inclusive families can thrive and contribute positively to society.
